Characters and voice cast

Zed (ゼッド) - main character, voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino (吉野裕行); English dub: Leraldo Anzaldua. Zed is a 15-year old boy originally from Calm, a land where no wind blows. While in Calm, Zed has a somewhat unusual habit: breaking doors. He claims that by doing this he "feels that he can go anywhere".
Noa (ノア) - main character, voiced by Kazuma Horie (堀江一眞); English dub: Chris Patton. Noa is Zed's friend from Calm. Unlike Zed, Noah is thought of as an upstanding citizen of Calm. Noah sticks up for Zed whenever people speak badly of him. Though others disapprove, Noah hangs around with Zed because Zed saved him from bullies during their childhood.
Roya (ロイア) - main character, voiced by Nana Mizuki (水樹奈々); English dub: Brittney Karbowski. Roya is a 16-year-old girl living in Tempura. She is the disciple of the elder sage Jiko, who rescued a 6-year-old Roya from Tusk. She was to be killed after it was predicted that she would kill her father, Morocco. She is a new-found friend of Zed, and an old friend of Miki.
Jiko Zico (ジーコ) - supporting character, voiced by Hiroshi Arikawa (博有川); English dub: Charles Campbell. Jiko is a 79-year-old man, and is one of six sages of Tempura. Jiko has a rather calm and wise personality, in which he regularly performs rather sagely tasks such as meditation and fishing, while equipped with a mind of void. After Zed arrives, Jiko acts as his mentor, and gives him advice on many occasions.
Robès Redondo (ロベス・レドンド) - supporting character, voiced by Shinichirou Miki (三木眞一郎). His name and mansion "Redondo House" all inherited from his father before him Altajid Redondo. He is a princely figure living in Templer. He recently became the Shard Champion after winning the Shard Casters tournament.
Mikki (ミッキー) - supporting character, voiced by Nobuhisa Nakamoto (中本順久); English dub: Corey Hartzog. A baker by trade and a former apprentice to Dumas. He is a friend of Roya and Zed. He is given Dumas' Spirit after Dumas was killed and had serious difficulty controlling it. He seems to be romantically interested in Pino, a maid of Robès. Mikki seems to be a childhood friend of Roya.
Dumas Schuramux (デュマス・シュクラムクス) - supporting character, voiced by Hiroshi Yanaka (家中宏); English dub: Rob Mungle. Templer's previous Shard Champion, a title given to the strongest Shard Caster in the country. Even though he held the prestigious title, he works as a farmer. He also, however, had turned the basement of his house into a hospital for those of the country of Jimoto who have been cast into exile, but when they started…
Rebecca (レベッカ) - supporting character, voiced by Marina Inoue (井上麻里奈); English dub: Serena Varghese. A princess who is the last surviving member of the Zymot royal family. Seeing Zed's powerful Spirit, she asks for his help to regain her country. Rebecca, a beautiful young girl, is the princess of Zymot.
Hugh - supporting character, voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi (山口勝平); English dub: Andrew Love
Elmeida - supporting character, voiced by Erino Hazuki (葉月絵理乃); English dub: Melissa Davis
Graujio - supporting character, voiced by Aya Endou (遠藤綾); English dub: Greg Ayres

Mirette (ミレッド) - supporting character, voiced by Rika Morinaga (理科森永); English dub: Cynthia Martinez. A young and free-Spirited Tuskan girl with a tragic past. Mirette was born with the Key Spirit, Jumamis, already inside her body. As such Mirette was dubbed the 'savior' of Tusk. Since the day of her birth, she has been isolated and confined to a small tower above the Tusk Palace, where she can be kept 'safe'.
Sagiri - supporting character, voiced by Aya Endou (遠藤綾); English dub: Hilary Haag. Sagiri is a little girl introduced in episode 5. She belongs to a group of nomads that were carrying with them the Key Spirit, Sachira. One day, while she was wandering through a forest with a nomad named Galba, she found Noa collapsed against a tree. Sagiri and Galba brought Noa to a place where he could recover.
Deucem (デュケム) - supporting character, voiced by Ken Takeuchi (武内健); English dub: Brandon Hearnsberger

Jimu (ジーム) - supporting character, voiced by Takashi Kondou (近藤隆); English dub: Mark Laskowski. One of the Ministers of Tusk and Gitra's older brother.
