DMCA / Copyright

Our approach
We respect the rights of creators and rights holders. Watchanimee does not store video files; episodes play in players embedded from third-party services. When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable the embed, link or post it identifies, usually within two business days. You may also want to send your notice to the service that hosts the file, since only they can remove it at the source.
Sending a notice
Send notices to our designated agent at dmca@watchanimee.com. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine by email).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed, or a representative list if there are several.
- The exact watchanimee.com URL(s) of the material, so we can find it.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
Notices under the EU Digital Services Act or other local laws are welcome at the same address and handled the same way.
What happens next
We review each notice, remove or disable access to the identified material, and keep a record of the notice. If the material was posted by a user (for example a comment), we tell that user and give them a copy of the notice with personal contact details removed where the law allows.
Counter-notices
If you posted material that was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentified, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material and where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Watchanimee may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We forward the counter-notice to the original sender and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
False claims
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). If you are not sure whether something infringes your rights, consider getting legal advice first.
